### Can I make my Instagram reels public?

A public Reel needs to be shared from a public account without a restricted audience. Instagram also offers a Close Friends audience for posts and Reels. Check both your account privacy and the Reel's audience before copying its link. This downloader accepts public posts only.

### Why is there no download option in Instagram reels?

Instagram's Download option depends on the Reel's visibility and the creator's download settings. Public account owners can turn off Instagram's download option. Check the Reel's Share menu first. For a public Reel, you can also copy its link and submit it here to retrieve the available file.

### How do I save a reel from a private account?

This downloader cannot save Reels from private accounts. It retrieves public posts from a pasted link and does not sign into Instagram to access restricted content. If you need a private Reel, ask its creator to send you the video directly. A private link does not provide access through this tool.

### What quality is the file?

You get the highest-resolution version Instagram serves for that Reel. The result displays width and height when those details are available, alongside the MP4 and its cover image. Use the displayed dimensions to check the available video size before saving it for your reference collection or editing workflow.

### Does the downloaded Reel include audio?

The downloaded MP4 includes the audio present in the file Instagram serves. Sound is part of that video file, rather than a separate download. The result also gives you the Reel's cover image, so you can save the video for playback and the image for a visual reference.

### Do I need an Instagram login?

No Instagram login is needed to download a public Reel here. Copy the Reel's link and paste it into the input field. Ganicly never asks for your Instagram password or acts inside your account. This is a free public-link tool, not a connection to your Instagram account.

### Do you keep the files?

Ganicly does not store the media files you download. The video and cover image are passed through from Instagram's own servers when you open or save them. The copy you choose to save goes to your device; Ganicly does not keep a library of downloaded videos or images.

### Can I exclude my account from the downloader?

Account owners can request exclusion through the contact page. Include the account name and explain that you want it excluded from Ganicly's media tools. You do not need to provide an Instagram password. This request is separate from the download controls Instagram provides within its own app.
