TikTok likes counter
Check average likes and comments from recent TikTok posts, plus engagement compared with the benchmark for your account size.
Grow this number a little every day.
Promote your public TikTok profile to your chosen audience. Growth follows a daily limit that increases with your account size, so a small account cannot receive a large plan's full range.

What the number means
This free TikTok likes counter returns average likes, average comments and engagement compared with the benchmark for your account size, using a sample of up to 24 recent public posts. Enter a TikTok username to check the account without logging in.
Average likes describe the response to recent posts, not lifetime likes. Read them beside comments and engagement: the same number of likes means something different on a video with a small view count than on one with a large view count.
How it works
- 1
Enter the public TikTok username you want to check.
- 2
The tool checks likes, comments and available views across up to 24 recent posts.
- 3
Review average likes, average comments and engagement compared with the benchmark for the account's size.
TikTok live likes counter or recent-post average?
This counter answers how many likes the account's recent posts receive on average. It does not update continuously, count hearts during a TikTok LIVE broadcast or show changes over time. Choose it when you want a summary of recent content rather than a moving total.
Keep the measures separate. Total likes add likes together; average likes describe likes per post in the checked sample. Engagement adds comments and relates those interactions to views or followers. If you also need the account's audience size, use the TikTok follower count checker.
| Likes | Views | Likes per 1,000 views |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | 10,000 | 10 |
| 300 | 10,000 | 30 |
| 500 | 10,000 | 50 |
Likes per 1,000 views
Likes per 1,000 views puts videos with different view counts on the same scale. Divide likes by views, then multiply by 1,000. These made-up examples show the calculation, not a recommended TikTok target.
The likes counter does not display this as a separate metric. It shows average likes and comments alongside engagement. When at least 3 posts have view counts, engagement uses total likes plus comments divided by total views, so videos are weighted by their views. The TikTok engagement rate tool focuses on that combined response.
| Followers | Typical engagement | Calculation detail |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 to 10,000 | 10.3% | Denominator not specified |
TikTok engagement by account size
Creators with 1,000 to 10,000 followers typically see around 10.3% TikTok engagement. That figure does not fix a denominator, so treat it as context rather than a direct comparison with this tool's view-based result.
This counter compares your result with the benchmark it uses for your account size. For a useful comparison, match account size, included interactions and denominator. Likes alone, likes plus comments per view, and interactions per follower are different calculations.
Read likes beside views before drawing conclusions
Take the public TikTok account @Ragepads: in 2025 it generated more than 130,000 likes and over 2.1 million views, with more than 3,000 comments and an engagement rate of approximately 6% relative to views.
Those totals describe a full year, not average likes per video. Without the number of posts, you cannot calculate that average. To review the account's recent content instead, enter its username here and compare the returned average likes, average comments and engagement. The result covers the tool's recent sample, not the whole year.
How fresh are these TikTok numbers?
The tool returns one public-data result, with its check time and an indication of whether it is fresh or reused.
Profile data may be reused for up to 6 hours. The free tools and the free scan use the same profile data for a username, so running the scan after this counter can show the same numbers. The scan adds recent posts, top and weakest posts, posting rhythm and recurring hashtags.

What are the benchmarks for TikTok engagement rates?
TikTok engagement benchmarks depend on account size and the calculation used. Creators with 1,000 to 10,000 followers typically see around 10.3% engagement. Ganicly uses a size-based benchmark and calculates engagement per view when at least 3 posts have view counts, otherwise per follower.
Is a 10% engagement rate good on TikTok?
Yes, 10% engagement per view is above the benchmark this tool uses in every account-size band. Here, engagement includes likes and comments. A 10% rate calculated per follower is a different measure, so it should not be judged against a per-view benchmark. Check the denominator before comparing results.
Is 2.5% engagement rate good?
A 2.5% engagement rate per view is below the reference benchmark this tool uses for every account-size band. That does not automatically mean the tool labels it below range, because its comparison allows a wider range around the benchmark. If 2.5% is calculated per follower, the view-based judgment does not apply.
Why is the average lower than my best post?
The average includes quieter posts as well as your best post. A standout video can lift the result, but it does not describe every video in the sample. Compare the average with individual post results to see whether attention is spread across your content or concentrated in one success.
Are saves and shares included?
No, this tool includes likes and comments, with views used for TikTok engagement when enough posts have view counts. It does not include saves or shares. When comparing its result with another engagement rate, check which interactions that rate counts so you are comparing the same measure.
Does it need my password?
No, the tool uses a public TikTok username and does not ask for a TikTok login or password. It checks public profile and recent post data. Private accounts do not provide the posts needed to calculate these averages, so their post-based results are empty.
